1st Drop Space
A whimsical music discovery microsite inspired by the personal profile pages of the 2000s.
The purpose
Leverage nostalgia to create an appealing pathway to artists, music, fan clubs and merchandise.
My contribution
I provided creative direction for the concept and tone of the microsite. I also defined the artist-specific themes and established connections to the broader 1st Drop Music Network.
Technical and creative work
- Developed reusable artist profiles with unique visual styles and integrated existing artist imagery.
- Implemented Top 10 navigation providing links between artists and the label.
- Provided access to music, artist websites, message links, fan club sign-up and merchandise.
The result
A familiar social web format provides a new entry point into an existing music catalogue.
