Professionally known as Bear Cole, I am Bear Gallagher-Cole, a technology and operations leader, entrepreneur, web professional, musician, and DJ. I combine web infrastructure, software development, project delivery, and creative production.

Based in Tucson, I own and operate Free the Line with Deidra Cole. 1st Drop Music operates out of both Tucson and Flagstaff.
The intersection of technology, people, and creativity is where I thrive. The strength of my skill set lies in understanding the reality of a situation rapidly; identifying structure within the chaos; and converting that knowledge into actionable decisions for clients, teams, and technical experts alike.
My experience encompasses managing customer support and hosting organizations; handling escalations and building partnerships; developing training programs; administering essential workplace systems; managing web projects; coordinating event professionals/DJs; and leading an audio department for major corporate events/concerts.
Whether creating strategic plans or executing them—creating a project definition; documenting a process; troubleshooting web infrastructure; coaching a colleague; designing a customer experience; editing media content; or verifying the final result—I adapt easily. Although my work varies daily; my obligation to ensure clarity and reliability remains constant.
My educational background consists of two degrees—a degree in Web & Graphic Design and a degree in Audio Engineering & Studio Recording. A common thread throughout my career path has been my entrepreneurial spirit; wide-ranging technical curiosity; and continuous pursuit of knowledge.

During my time at San Francisco-based Pier2 Marketing, I moved through various roles in web development, integration, customer support, and technical management—all while contracting through Free the Line and working remotely from Arizona.
Through Free the Line LLC—the umbrella for Pier2 contracting, 1st Drop Music, and 1st Drop Entertainment work—I provide web development, technical consulting, digital strategy, multimedia production, and product leadership.
Through 1st Drop Entertainment—operated under Free the Line LLC—I offered entertainment strategy consulting, DJ services, venue programming, audio systems, lighting, and private event production.
As a manager of event professionals, schedules, clients, production requirements, training, and live delivery for PeaksPro Event Services, I successfully coordinated events.
I planned a WordPress-based social network, e-commerce system, multisite environment, referral program, and marketplace for VilMark Ltd.
After progressing through web consulting and hosting support at GoDaddy, I was promoted to a leadership position where I supervised and trained large technical support teams.
As head of Phoenix audio operations for corporate events and concerts at LMG Inc., I authored training documentation and established standardized technical testing procedures.
